Following the launch of the new Maranatha Community Prayer Guide last week, we proclaimed the Resolution and Declaration for Sunday during the course of our online gathering on Sunday 7th June. We believe the use of these Resolutions and Declarations is a specific call to us as a Community.
We encourage all members to use the Prayer Guide daily and to be sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit about ways in which it may be used in a local church or prayer group setting. The Lord is wanting us to be single-minded in the declaration of His word. The Prayer Guide is the ‘first fruits’ of our journey over the last 5 years. It is not a one-off suggestion for prayer but, rather, part of a continuing process of learning how the Lord wants His Church to govern in the heavenly realms.
As always, after an initial time of worship, our time together was offered to the Lord. The following is a summary of some of the key points discerned.
One heartbeat
- The Lord wants to reveal His heart, but we will only understand what He is showing us by learning to listen with our hearts.
- There has been a repeated theme over recent months of the Lord speaking about the quality and depth of our oneness being akin to the synchronisation of our heart beats with His and with one another’s. This cannot be achieved by our effort, only through our oneness in Christ, yielded to the Holy Spirit.
- The synchronisation of hearts was likened to a drum beat, producing a sound that will go out to communicate the word of God.
- There is power in ‘synchronised’ sound – like a united march, with everyone in step, causing shaking of a bridge.
- Is the Lord giving us a song as an expression of our synchronised heartbeats?
An ‘ascended’ perspective
- “I am the Alpha and Omega” – we tend to have an understanding of this title in the context of chronological time – past and future. The Lord is saying we should not embrace this separation.
- Word given: ‘I am the first and the last; I am the first and the last, but how big is your vision of Me? Do you realise how big I am? Do you realise that I am the eternal God? Do you realise that I see the end from the beginning? Do you realise just how big My vision is concerning your life?’
- A further word given in the context of Alpha and Omega – ‘I am here in this present moment. You walk in step with Me. Hear My voice.’
- The world focuses on small things because they are more tangible eg. the forthcoming by-election. The Lord wants us to be more aware of what He is doing, which is something so much bigger.
Learning about angels
- Some time ago, a picture similar to Jacob’s ladder was shared, in which there was a notable absence of angels. The Lord has been teaching us about the way in which we, in Christ, are at the juxtaposition of heaven and earth and we have more to learn about this dynamic relationship. It seems there may be a connection between our alignment with the Lord and the activity of angels. We sense the Lord saying that the use of the Resolutions and Declarations will be associated with the mobilisation of angels in accordance with the word spoken.
An Image for the Maranatha Community
A domino run – initially only one line of dominoes ahead. More similar lines (five or six) then converged on a single point, all starting at the same time. As they met at the central point, at the same time, a much bigger run was started, going in lots of directions, creating something beautiful and moving very fast, curling round and moving forward beyond where could be seen. There was an emphasis on the fact that each of the dominoes were similar – same size – none more important than the others but all essential. If one is missing, that part of the run stops until another one restarts it. It highlighted the importance of being in the right place, facing the right way and lined up precisely in alignment.
When we all raised our hands, in response to committing to use the Resolutions and Declarations, it felt like it was starting a domino run.
