Maranatha Pointers – September 2026

Notes from our gathering on 6th September.

Maranatha Pointers from the online Gathering on 6th September 2026.

We had a number of pictures about water:

  • A picture of a well with rotating buckets lifting water up. The Lord invites us to choose the right ‘bucket’ to drink from, to wash away the dark particles which stick to us.
  • A man sowing seed by a river (fertile and well-watered ground). Does this indicate that the time is right for ‘sowing’ in the UK?
  • A boat in a storm, with us as its passengers, being blown along by wind and waves; but there are gentle undercurrents in the water which lead us to a place of peace and calm – in the Father’s heart.
  • Trees by the river, drawing up living water to the branches above us; we saw the Lord sending this ‘water’ to all the people we love and pray for.

A vision of two doors
One door is open to people and leads to peace and contentment. A second door is open to them also, but it opens onto a 300 foot drop. There is a sound of weeping which comes from the Lord, as many people who are lost and without a guide stumble through the wrong door. Psalm 102:18-22 refers.

The Lord’s heart
The Lord is longing for this land with strong compassion and He wants to remind us of what is important in what He has already given us as we seek to bring His Kingdom to it:

  • A place of worship
  • A place of prayer
  • Watchmen in an ascended place
  • Word and Spirit – which, when aligned, show us the right Way
  • Lifeboats to take out to rescue the lost, which become…..
  • ….Communities of faith

By faithful use of these, the Church will bring down worldly institutions.

The bells are ringing. Can you hear the bells ringing?
The Lord is telling us to listen, hear and understand the signs of the times. Church bells ring to tell the time; to warn of danger; to celebrate weddings. As we anticipate the return of Jesus and the marriage of the Church (the Bride) to Him, we need to be aware of the threats to us and to our nation. We must listen and understand what the Lord is signalling to us. Later we recognised that the bells urgently signal time for the Church to wake up, to speak to Kings.

Internalise Scripture
The Lord reminded us of how we need to not just know Scripture; nor just memorise it and repeat it; but to make it part of ourselves by faith so that it becomes a profound and powerful spiritual resource within us.

Union Jack nailed to the Cross
A picture of the Union Jack nailed to the Cross of Christ with a big nail; this prompted a number of responses:

  • The flag is a symbol of the unity of a number of nations. True unity must similarly be nailed to the Cross, only unity around the Son of God – and which receives healing from Hs wounds – can be sustained.
  • The nail is a connector between heaven and earth. This connection is painful and costly; it was for Jesus and it will be for us.
  • It’s time to nail our colours to the mast.
