Maranatha Pointers from our inline gathering on March 1st
As always, our gathering began with a time of worship and a proclamation of the Lordship of Jesus into the heavenly realms. The following pointers are a summary of the key points shared during our gathering.
- Unity – our unity is in the person of Jesus. All the diverse traditions of the Church contribute to the expression of His image in the world. The word ‘fusion’ was given – when two nuclei are joined an enormous amount of energy is released. This is an image for the unity of the Body of Christ. Our Oneness with the Lord and one another is deepened as we follow the example of Jesus. He said, “I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment – what to say and what to speak.” (Jn 12.49) and of Holy Spirit He said, “he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak” (Jn 16.13)…. So that in ALL things, we are being conformed to the likeness of His Son (Rom 8.28-29).
- Harmony – We are each the unique expression of God’s Word spoken into our being as individuals, but we all carry the DNA of the Body of Christ. We bear His Word by being who we are, made in His image, alive in His Spirit, before we know what to say or do. The Lord has created us for harmony – He is looking for a ‘corporate sound’. We don’t all sing the same note! This is perfected as we “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Eph 5.21).
- Light & Love – Jesus is the Light of the world. He says to His followers “You are the light of the world” (Mt 5.14). As we all draw closer to Him, the light is amplified; the sum is greater than the parts. In this way Jesus is revealed to the world. Our hearts are the key. What are our hearts full of? “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” (Lk 6.45). God is Love. Hearts filled with God’s Spirit will have courage to speak for Him.
- Advance – the Lord has been training us in what it means to ASCEND over the past 5 years. It is now time to ADVANCE. Our Maranatha gathering in Ireland last Saturday was an example of the way in which we are to ‘take ground’. The ground is in the hearts of people who are hungry for a deeper encounter with the Lord, in unity with others, as well as geographical territory. An image was shared during the gathering – Jesus standing behind each person – we were joined together by Him and in Him. Another metaphor – the Lord is speaking about planting a ‘corporate seed’ – “The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom” (Mat 13.38) From this seed the tree of life will grow. As individuals we remain hidden as part of the roots (the seed in the ground) whilst the life of the Spirit is the visible manifestation.
- Resolutions – We are seeing the outworking of several of the resolutions we were given to declare. (These are currently being prepared for publication). As we acknowledge and align ourselves with what the Lord is doing, we also agree with the angels and Holy Spirit in how they are working out God’s purposes, and we can speak these things into being in our own ‘territory’ and situations. The Lord is revealing His heart, which is Love, in all the resolutions. As our hearts are one with His, we unite in the prayer for the coming of His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
Words given during the gathering
- The heart is a chamber, a holy place. Wait for the beats; feel each beat. Allow my Spirit to move the beats into a pulsating experience of a greater holiness, to ascend even closer. Keep looking at the map.
- Propagate many in terms of making repetitions [repetitions refers to heart beats]. Have you been here before? How would you approach a finer lens? Continually stay in magnifying a borrowed view of love [magnify love]. Handle at this stage a suggestion that there is nothing supported and take the long view reaching out and lowering your shape [in gaining God’s overarching perspective, we are to choose humility in order to bring about oneness].
