Maranatha Pointers – April 2026

Notes from our gathering on 5th April.

We united our Easter Acclamation, ‘Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!’ and our time of praise, with that of the whole Body of Christ throughout all generations and especially with brothers and sisters in Christ suffering persecution and hardship.

As we spent time in the Lord’s presence, in response to His call to ‘ASCEND’, we were led to the following points:

  • Heb 10.12-13 “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.”  Jesus sat down because He had completed everything that needed to be done, even though the consequences of His finished work are still being played out. He continues to intercede for us.  This is the perspective God wants us to share with Him, so that we can encourage each other and others. He rules completely and wants us to know this with certitude. In this way we live from a place of profound peace and assurance. (See also Isaiah 41.10-13)
  • There is a difference between certainty and certitude. Certainty is based on facts and is therefore related to the activity of our minds. Certitude (an abstract noun) is based on a gut feeling, and is therefore not arrived at through a mental process. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;” (Prov 3.5). We prayed for a ‘well of certitude’ to be established in our inner being.
  • The Lord has invited us to make a series of Resolutions in agreement with Him. We speak into the earth what God has spoken to us in the heavenly realms. What does He want to teach us about how to pray and act for the outworking of these resolutions?  “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” (Hab 2.2-3).  Our ongoing declarations of the Resolutions during morning worship are akin to Moses’ hands being held up during the battle (Ex 17.10-13).
  • We declare the counsel of God to the powers and principalities in the heavenly realms (See Eph 3.10 & 6.12) as we are positioned according to the Lord’s direction (see 2Chron 20.17).
  • Image: Many many royal carriages lined up, waiting. A word ‘swell’ was given to accompany the picture.
  • The Lord is wanting a reconnection and integration of our hearts and mouths so that, prompted by the Holy Spirit, we are ready to speak the Truth with certitude – a Godly reflex of speaking His Truth from our gut, without the time delay of processing with our heads. “For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6.45). God’s Word is precise. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb 4.12). As His Word is alive in us, we will speak into situations precisely and with power.

Words given during the gathering:

  • “I’m ruling from heaven over your troubled world.  It needs My power so much.  I breathe on it My freedom from worry, pain, anxiety.  I am in charge of world affairs, surely you see it, know it. All will come to fulfillment in due time as you see me exercising My sovereign power over all the places that need it.  A little while longer, now, and peace will reign once more.”
  • Take hold of My hand. Reach out to Me. Take the chalice from My hand. It is full of living water. Take it away and share. Drink and allow My living water to flow through your spirit and feel My deeper presence. Keep holding My hands and receive My peace.
