Our first online gathering of 2026 took place last Sunday, 4th January. For anyone wishing to view the gathering, it can be seen online here.
Here is a summary of the key points made during times of worship and waiting upon God.
- The Lord uses times of darkness to cultivate the best fruitfulness (consider how rhubarb is grown). There are things that need to die in our lives in order to make way for what the Lord wants to do. The ‘dead stuff’ will serve as compost for the new growth. What has been cultivated in darkness is now ready for harvesting.
- Fear, anxiety and lack of confidence all need to die in the body of believers in Christ. See Isaiah 41.10 &13.
- A sense of God singing a song over all the earth. We can attune our hearts to hear this song. Singing in worship is one of the ways in which we can experience the union of heaven and earth. In turn this brings revelation about what God is doing in the earth. Singing and receiving new songs through the Holy Spirit is an important key in the current times. The Lord’s song is one of re-creation: “When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.” (Ps 104.30). There is a song with just one word, ‘Come’, being sung in many languages.
- The Lord wants to impart fresh courage and confidence into His Body as He prepares His people to take up a posture and positions of leadership. As we exercise leadership, in Christ, in the heavenly realms, through Spirit inspired declarations, we should expect to see changes in leadership in the earthly realms.
- The Lord is the Lord of time. The enemy has long-ranging plans which rely on a sequential course of events/actions. The Lord waits and chooses His moment to ‘snuff it out’. God’s ‘clock’ is orientated around the timing of Jesus’ return. We are entering a period of manifestations of the Lord’s hand, changing the course of global affairs, which will often be marked by sudden, unexpected events. The word ‘NOW’ was given.
- Psalm 37 is a good summary of much that was shared during the gathering. The Lord is also exhorting His people to spend more time resting in His presence, trusting in His Sovereignty over all, countering the haste of the world, in order to accomplish more and to be channels of His peace for others.
- We spent time in silence, praying for the Lord’s re-shaping of us as individuals and as a Community for His purposes. During this time an image was given of us being like trees, in which everything that emanated from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was being replaced by the substance of the tree of life. The leaves are for the healing of the nations and are somehow connected with the song of the Lord.
- Word given: “Pick up your map. Look and wait. Let me place your new journey on the map. Do not be afraid of what I have chosen for you. There may be rugged terrain. Trust me. Take a torch so you can see the journey through My light.”
