Maranatha Pointers – July 2025

Notes from our gathering on 6th July.

The Lord continues to impress upon us that we are to pray from a heavenly, not earthly perspective and that the way of discerning is through our hearts. As we draw near to the heart of God, our hearts become more deeply one. Jesus teaches us to pray that God’s will is done “on earth as it is in heaven”.

The Lord is saying to us: ‘Do what you did at first’. Members of the Community used to pray for one another daily at 10pm. We have agreed to re-introduce prayer for one another at 10pm daily.

The patterns of heaven may be seen in creation. It is recognised that there is a ‘substance’ that facilitates communication between trees. Our recognition of Christ in ourselves and in one another confirms our interconnectedness. When God announces He is doing a ‘new thing’ (Is 43.19), He asks “…do you not perceive it?”  The new thing is a new way of perceiving. Are we open to receiving this? Our ‘perceiving’ is related to our interconnectedness. What we have experienced of oneness is only the beginning! The Lord has begun another level of training for us in what it means to be one. Ezekiel’s vision (chapter 1) is worthy of prayerful consideration in this regard.  Jesus refers to Himself as the True Vine and states that we are the branches. A vine is formed mainly of branches which share a root. He bluntly states, “apart from me you can do nothing” (Jn 15.5).

Jesus is always central to the Lord’s revelation. Consider 3 scripture passages referring to ‘knitting‘: Ps 139.13 refers to our individual relationship with our Creator, Col 2.2 refers to the way in which the hearts of believers are bonded in love, Col 2.19 refers to the growth of the Body of Christ as all the parts grow together. The result is that we attain to “… all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col 2.2-3). Paul expresses a similar truth in a different way in Eph 3.14-19. He also refers to God’s wisdom as being “manifold” or multi-faceted and that it is to be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places” (Eph 3.10).

An example of the way in which our interconnectedness is essential in the fighting of spiritual battles within the earthly realms is exemplified in Ex 17, where Moses, with necessary help from Aaron and Hur, on the mountaintop (the ascended place), maintained a posture of worship of God, whilst Joshua fought in the valley. Both Moses, with his supporters, and Joshua with his army, were needed to fight the battle.

Words given during the gathering:
“On this day of days let  it be known among all the people how wonderful I am.  I rule the world with justice despite what you see around you. In these days be alert to all the goodness I am pouring out over your lives.  Thank Me for it, as I’m sure you do.”

“As you know, you are Mine forever.  Believe it; believe you belong to Me, all of you together, one big family, brothers and sisters in Me.  Rejoice in it, be glad for each other.”
