Preparing for Jesus’ Return

Jesus has promised He is coming back and urges us to be ready. The season of Advent is a time for prayerful reflection on how we should prepare for Him, but it is so often crowded with a different kind of preparation for Christmas. The unnerving parable of the ten virgins (Matt. 25.1-13) is a salutary warning for God’s people.
This weekend of worship and fellowship will offer teaching and sharing on the ways in which we can learn together how to live the prayer, ‘Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!’
Run by the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, The Emmaus Centre is an oasis of peace and tranquillity and is within easy access of the M25. It has some beautiful garden areas giving the opportunity to spend time in private prayer with the Lord. Accommodation is in single and twin rooms, which have running hot & cold water. There are showers, bathrooms and toilets on each floor, as well as kitchenettes where hot drinks can be made at any time. There is also a lift for accessing rooms above ground level.
Standard Cost: £150 per person. Special day rates available. Please note that in the event of your having to cancel less than 5 clear days before the start date of the weekend, we will normally have to charge the full cost of the weekend, because we have to pay that amount to the retreat house. If a cancellation is made earlier, the fee for the weekend will be refunded, less the non-refundable deposit.
