The Maranatha Community

Christians united in prayer and action

Maranatha is a worldwide Christian community that prays and works for unity, renewal and healing in the lives of individuals, families, communities, churches and nations. Maranatha is not a breakaway movement, but positively encourages its members to be more effective Christians wherever they worship, live and work.

After 35 years of service, in the spring of 2018, the life of the Maranatha Community was “laid down” in response to the Lord’s prompting. Our members are still in touch with one another and some local gatherings are still taking place, but we have not organised any national gatherings, weekends or retreats for this year.

We believe that the Lord has something new for the Maranatha Community, but we are not presuming what this may be. We are fully convinced that the old life must be allowed to die and we have, therefore, adopted a period of waiting and watching for the new thing.
