Topical Initiatives
As a community God has led us to be involved in many major initiatives over the years, ranging from drug abuse to religious freedom, peace and reconciliation to Gospel and culture. Many of these initiatives remain current, involving ongoing work. You can see highlights from some below. If you would like any further information regarding this area of our work, please contact us.
Financial & Spiritual Crisis (current)
From mid-2008, a massive global economic slowdown has created a recession with still unknown consequences. The causes of this financial crisis have exposed the moral and spiritual bankruptcy of our society.
Islam in Europe (current)
Islam is not only a religion, but a political force with far reaching implications for western democracy and the Judeo-Christian foundations of our society. Islam is one of the most important issues now facing Christians in the UK.
Northern Ireland: Peace & Reconciliation (current)
In recent times we have seen striking developments towards peace in Northern Ireland. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that many individuals and communities continue to be profoundly overshadowed by past events - recent and distant.
The Horror of Orissa (2008)
In the autumn of 2008 there was a huge and bloody upsurge of anti-Christian violence in parts of Orissa, India that saw unprecedented persecution of innocent Christians.
Our Christian Identity: De-Christianising the UK (2008)
There is extensive evidence that the Christian foundations of the UK are under threat as Christian values are removed from the public space.
Marriage & Family in the UK (2006)
Over the last 40 years, British society has undergone a significant change, with increasing levels of family instability and breakdown. In more recent times, we have seen Government policy shift to promoting the marriage-based family as merely one of a number of options, rather than the ideal. This is contrary to the evidence.
The Price of Faith (2005)
Christians today are the most persecuted group of people in the world. Increasingly and on a global scale, Christians are being subjected to legalised discrimination and imprisonment, violence, vilification, ridicule, intimidation, assault, torture and murder because of their faith.
