Civil Partnerships Act 2004
Introduction:
This Act allows same sex couples to register their partnerships,
and afford such partnerships “a package of rights and
responsibilities”. In all but name, the Government is
introducing ‘gay marriage’. An amendment that redresses
the discrimination shown towards households headed by relatives
was rejected.
