Maranatha - Serving

Serving our Communities

Serving our Communities

The Maranatha Community is called to a balance between prayer and action. We seek to serve our Communities in every way we can (1 Peter 4:10), through joining with others, taking initiatives and getting involved.

An International Need

Maranatha has taken initiatives at national and international levels, to serve communities through being a voice for truth, justice and righteousness, defending religious freedom and human rights and lobbying for social change. Recently Maranatha has worked hard to protect human rights in Orissa, India, religious freedom in the United Kingdom, and to promote more responsible attitudes to sex and relationships. To find out more about this work, see the Witnessing section of this website.

Working together

Maranatha works with a wide range of different networks and organizations with a broad spectrum of aims, all of which include to serve our communities in some way. These groups have included the following:

Words given to our Community...

“Whenever I have encountered a new moral problem or a troubled crisis, spiritual, or temporal – Northern Ireland, Orissa, and Islamism – Maranatha has been there, wise, principled, intensely practical and humane.”
