There is only ONE Church
We uphold the teaching of the Bible: “There is one body and one Spirit” (Eph 4.4). Maranatha is not a church or a breakaway movement. Members of Maranatha are committed to the life of their local church and actively pray for the unity of the church congregations in the area where they live.
A local expression of Unity
Maranatha members often gather together with Christians of different traditions in Local Groups. Meetings are usually simple - a time of prayer, praise, listening, sharing, and prayers for healing. There are no high profile leaders, we simply gather together as little brothers and sisters of Jesus. All are welcome.
Ecumenism is not the same as Unity
We welcome and support the work of ecumenical initiatives. We believe, however, that the unity that Jesus prays for goes beyond this. God has given us, in the Maranatha Community, great love for one another.
