Maranatha is a free, open and loving Christian community. Over the years of our pilgrimage there have been literally thousands of Christian believers who have walked with the Community at some stage of their life journey. If God's vision for our Community has captured your imagination and you would like to find out more about how you can join us, simply fill in the form opposite. There are two ways to become more involved in the Maranatha Community - by becoming a 'Friend' of the Community and by becoming a 'Member'.
Becoming a Friend of the Community
A friend of the Community is someone who wishes to walk in alignment with the vision and work of Maranatha but who does not feel called to actively participate in the life of the Community. Friends receive the quarterly newsletter and other mailings and are greatly valued as brothers and sisters in the Family of God of which the Maranatha Community is just a small part.
Becoming a Member of the Community
For those believing they are called to a more meaningful engagement there is membership. A member is a Christian believer who is committed to the life of their local church and who prays and works for the unity, renewal and healing of the worldwide Church of Christ. A member 'owns' the prayer 'Our Commitment' and prays for other members of the Maranatha Community every day. Many will also contribute to the life of the Community in other ways and members are encouraged to share as fully as possible in the 'Koinonia' (fellowship of belonging) of the Community by contributing of their gifts and resources as the Lord enables.
Members commit to the Community through either Prayer, Action or Financial Giving - we depend upon the generosity of Members to cover the running costs of the community.
