A Cry To The Church
How much longer are we going to accept the steep decline of the churches in our land? The trends of the last 30 years can and must be reversed. The overall scene today is one of terrible apathy and powerlessness, although there are emerging signs of hope. We believe He is ready to breathe the immense power of His Spirit into dying churches and into the lives of those who have drifted into unbelief. Firstly, we must surely face up honestly to the real crisis we are in, both in the churches and in society. Unless this happens, God can do nothing with us.
In August 2004 Maranatha launched ‘Crisis & Glory’, a document spelling out the challenges for today’s church. Along side it was published ‘The People of God: Thoughts about the Church today with Scripture readings for reflection”. Both documents are being used in seminaries and churches across the land.
