What is Credo?
Credo is a vision for the younger members of our Community. It began in an embryonic fashion as a forum for younger leaders, people who are not just the leaders of tomorrow but who are the leaders of today. What does Credo have to offer to this generation who more than any other generation have information and resources thrown at them on a daily basis?
Leadership in today's church
Within the Maranatha Community there is a commitment to identify, equip, train and support those whom God is raising in leadership from the 20's and 30's age group. This compliments the training already widely available for younger leaders throughout the Church by virtue of the nature of the Community.
A wider vision
We are a prophetic movement, called to pray and work for the unity of the Body of Christ. Those belonging to Credo have the opportunity to be involved in prayer and work which spans the denominations of the Church. Involvement means embracing a deeper spirituality and prayer life alongside action in public witness; it means responding to those in need in practical ways alongside a healing ministry.
Ministry in the whole Church
Members of Credo are actively encouraged to discover and exercise their gifts in the life of the Community. Our Community is a safe place in which to learn leadership without the confines of institutions or denominational constraints. It is a Community which exercises and applies both the discipline and freedom of the Holy Spirit.
We believe...
That in speaking with one voice we will be a voice that cannot be ignored.
That the physical and emotional healing we read about in the Bible is as real and relevant today as it was 2000 years ago.
That we are one body - though we come from many backgrounds, nationalities and denominations we can come together in friendship, oneness and unity.
That in crossing the generation divide and developing relationships we will learn and grow from, and with, one another.
That NOW is the time...
